                            The Johnstone Boathouse

The boathouse was presented to the rowing club by the then President, Gilbert Johnstone and has an inscription over the gates commemorating his brothers:

This plaque reads

                   A.D. 1934 Johnstone Boat-House E.M.R.C.

Nearest train service is Hackney Wick station, London overground, 2 mins walk.

Buses running services to Hackney Wick are 26, 30, 236,388 and stop approx 3-4 mins walk away.

Other transport methods, that are more popular with members are cycling or walking (& running!).
